Adapting to the new normal, Engr. Belinda R. Penuela, MPS-DM, Officer-in-Charge – Regional Director (OIC-RD) of Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office XII (PSA-RSSO XII) administered oath of office to ten newly hired and promoted personnel of the PSA SOCCSKSARGEN Region.           SOCCSKSARGEN’s Inflation Rate for the Bottom 30% Income Household Recorded Steady at 4.2% in May 2020
        

          

  
  
  

    
SOCCSKSARGEN Region’s Inflation Rate for the Bottom 30% Households in May 2020 stayed at 4.2 percent, the same as in April 2020. Among the commodity groups, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco posted the highest annual increase at 25.0% in May 2020. A month-on-month slowdown on inflation were recorded in Clothing and Footwear (from 3.8% to 3.4%), Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels (from 4.3% to 3.2%), Transport (from 0.6% to -1.0%) and Communication (from 2.1% to 0.6%).








  


      
  
  
  

  

  

    

  
      

              

          PSA XII Conducts 2nd Level Virtual Training on July 2020 Round of LFS/APIS
        

          

  
  
  

    
In preparation for the conduct of the July 2020 Round of the Labor Force Survey (LFS) with the Annual Poverty Indicator Survey (APIS) as its rider survey,  selected staff of the Philippine Statistics Authority XII participated in the 2nd Level Training on June 22-26, via Cisco Webex in the observance of the new normal as part of the campaign against COVID-19. In preparation for the conduct of the July 2020 Round of the Consumer  Expectations Survey (CES) this July,  selected staff of the Philippine Statistics Authority XII participated in the 2nd Level Training on June 29-30, 2020 through Cisco Webex. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII Regional Director Josephine C. Leysa, CESO III presided the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the Regional Gender And Development Committee (RGADC) XII via Zoom Video Conference on June 19, 2020. It was participated by more than 20 participants coming from Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), Academe, and Local Government Units (LGUs).
