PSA XII participates in the Orientation on Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG)

The Philippine Statistics Authority participated in the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) Orientation for LGUs and RGADC XII Members via Zoom platform last October 27, 2020. The activity was sponsored by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and spearheaded by the Regional Gender and Development Council (RGADC) XII. It was hosted by the RGADC XII Chairman, RD Josephine C. Leysa of DILG XII. The activity was one of the activities of RGADC XII relative to the gender equality and women empowerment initiatives in SOCCSKSARGEN.

PSA XII Works Together with PNP XII for the 2020 CPH

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII, through its Regional Director Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, conducted a bilateral virtual meeting with the Philippine National Police (PNP) XII on August 28, 2020 to discuss possible collaborations for the smooth conduct of 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH) in the region. PNP XII was represented by PLTCOL Lauro I. Espida.

PSA XII Join Forces with BJMP XII for 2020 CPH

In line with the conduct of 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH) this September 2020, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII, through Regional Director Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, spearheaded the conduct of a bilateral virtual meeting with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) XII on August 27, 2020. The virtual meeting was aimed at soliciting support from BJMP XII and to identify possible areas of collaboration between PSA XII and BJMP XII in the enumeration of institutional population residing in institutional living quarters particularly those confined in corrective and penal institutions for more than six months. The BJMP XII was represented by SJO4 Alenard P. Agot.

VOLUME AND VALUE OF IMPORTED AND EXPORTED GOODS, SOCCSKSARGEN REGION: APRIL 2020

Export sales of SOCCSKSARGEN Region in April 2020 was valued at US$77,142,394, an increase of 25.1 percent from US$61,360,487 recorded in April 2019. Total volume of export goods reached 59,467,752 kilograms during the month under review from 35,319,820 kilograms a year ago.

Import payments reached US$51,961,814 in April 2020, about 2.1 percent lower from US$53,056,944 during the same period in 2019. Imported goods totaled to 130,506,485 kilograms from 130,923,025 kilograms the previous year.

 

2019 Production Performance of Agriculture in SOCCSKSARGEN Region

Despite positive growths in the livestock and poultry subsectors, the total agricultural output of SOCCSKSARGEN Region in 2019 decreased by about 4.1 percent as the dry spell that occurred between January to May 2019 affected the outputs of most of the commodities in the crops subsector. Total agricultural output dropped to 7.262 million metric tons in 2019 from 7.572 million in 2018.
