In preparation for the forthcoming CPH 2020 on May next year, PSA Board Resolution Nos. 2,4, & 5 regarding the said activity was presented during the 3rd Quarter Meeting of the Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) XII on September 16, 2019 at Cinco Niñas, Koronadal City.
Presided by Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, CESO V, as PSA XII Regional Director and RSC XII Vice-Chairperson, he enjoined the support and assistance of the various agencies and offices in the region relative to the conduct of the CPH 2020 pursuant to PSA Board Resolution No. 4-2019 issued on 16 May 2019. According to him, Census Coordinating Boards will be created from the National down to the Municipal/City levels to oversee and spearhead the nationwide population count on May next year as stipulated in PSA Board Resolution Nos. 2 and 5 s.2019.
Present during the meeting were representatives from DOT XII, DOLE XII, PPDO-SK, CPDO-Koronadal, DENR XII, CHED XII, DOH XII, CPDO-GSC, DSWD XII, LGU-South Cotabato, PPDO-South Cotabato, DOST XII, BSP-GSC, DPWH XII, DILG XII, and DA XII.
Statistical Concerns on the generation of data on Building Permits was tackled by Senior Statistical Specialist of PSA XII Mr. Edward Donald F. Eloja. Statistical Specialist II Christy R. Amban of PSA XII provided explanation on statistical concerns raised by the Task Force on SOCCSKSARGEN Food Basket. Statistical Specialist II Fahmudin A. Salilagia of PSA XII presented proposal for the Presentation of Names of Puroks/Sitios. Latest available data on Farmgate Price of Palay and information on the 25th Philippine Statistics Quiz were presented by PSA XII’s Information Officer I Fatima H.S. Mohammadsha.
The RSC is the regional counterpart of the PSA Executive Board that formulates policy measures in the form of resolutions to address statistical issues and challenges at the regional and subregional level.
The RSC XII 3rd Quarter Meeting was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) XII.
