The Philippine Statistics Authority conducted Red Cross Orientation on June 3, 2019 at PSA RSSO XII Conference Room. Majority of the RSSO XII employees attended the orientation. The activity aims to orient the participants of the possible benefits that can be availed from the programs of the Red Cross.
Red Cross Cotabato City, represented by Ms. Bely V. Sorilla and Ms. Bai Jehan R. Camdan, shared details on Member Accidental Assistant Benefit (MAAB) program. The MAAB is an insurance plan for accidental body injuries with varying levels of membership and corresponding coverage of benefits. The annual membership contributions un der this program ranges from P60 for a classic membership to P1,000 for Premier Platinum Membership.
Among the benefits available under MAAB are those for accidental death, disablement and dismemberment, unprovoked murder and assault, accidental medical reimbursements, accidental burial assistance and daily hospital allowance of maximum of 60 days. Ms. Sorilla updated everyone of the requirements for benefit claims, which include membership card, birth certificate, police report, medical certificate, billing statements and receipts for prescriptions, among others. She distributed primer containing the benefit packages for each of the membership types.
The office awarded certificate of appreciation to the guest speakers for their efforts in educating the office employees on the new insurance program of the Red Cross.
