2015 CENSUS OF POPULATION (POPCEN) RESULTS–Kabacan increases to 89,161 persons

Total population of Kabacan went up by 7,879 persons

Based on the results of the 2015 POPCEN, the total population of the municipality of Kabacan has increased to 89,161 persons which was higher by 7,879 persons compared with the result in the 2010 CPH.

Twenty five years ago, its population was 50,601 persons. This count was only about 57 percent of the latest population count. In 2010-2015, its Annual Population Growth Rate was 2.41 percent. If it remains constant,  its population doubles  after 29 years or on the year 2044.

2015 CENSUS OF POPULATION RESULTS: Pigkawayan, Cotabato

Total population of Pigkawayan went up to 66,796 persons

Based on the results of the 2015 POPCEN, the total population of the municipality of Pigkawayan has increased to 66,796. It was higher by 6,821 compared to the 2010 CPH which was 59,975. On the other hand, household population was 66,604 which means that there were about 192 persons in institutions. Fifty five years ago, its population was 22,412. This count was only about 34 percent of the latest population count.

Population grew at the rate of 1.33 percent annually

The population of Matalam as of August 1, 2015 was 79,361, based on the 2015 Census of Population (POPCEN 2015). It was higher by 5,327 compared with the population of 74,034 in 2010 and higher by 19,215 compared with the population of 60,146 in 2000.

It posted an average growth rate increase of 2.10 percent annually, from 2000 to 2010 and 1.83 percent during the period 2000 to 2015. By comparison, the rate at which the municipality’s population grew during the period 2010 to 2015 was slowest at 1.33 percent increase.

Poblacion, the most populous barangay Of the municipality’s 34 barangays,

Poblacion had the highest population in 2015 with 6,748 persons. This was followed by Kilada with 5,012 persons, Linao with 4,550 persons and other barangays with more than four thousand persons were Kibia (4,272 persons); and Taguranao (4,227 persons).

Patadon West was the smallest barangay in 2015, in terms of population size with 814 persons.

The Total Population of Mlang as of 2015 is 95,070

Mlang’s population as of August 1, 2015 was 95,070, based on the 2015 Census of Population (POPCEN 2015). The municipality of Mlang ranked fifth as the most populous among the city/municipality of Cotabato province.

The 2015 population is higher by 7,321 persons compared with the population of 87,749 in 2010, and 16,900 persons compared with the population of 78,170 in 2000.
