Special Release: Construction Statistics of South Cotabato (4th Quarter)

The number of construction statistics for the fourth quarter of 2018 decreases by 24.77 percent compared to those issued in the same period in 2017 based on the approved building permits. Residential construction posted a 28.41 percent decrease from 271 to 194 projects while non-residential posted a decrease of 4.49 percent from 178 to 170. Alteration/repairs decreased by 62.82 percent while 11 additions to existing structures were recorded this quarter.

Special Release: Construction Statistics of South Cotabato (3rd Quarter)

The number of construction statistics for the third quarter of 2018 increases by 31 percent compared to those issued in the same period in 2017 based on the approved building permits. Residential construction posted a 60 percent increase from 135 to 216 projects while non-residential posted an increase of 9.49 percent from 137 to 150. Addition increased by 15.4 percent while six Alterations/Repairs were recorded this quarter.

Special Release: Construction Statistics of South Cotabato (2nd Quarter)

The number of construction statistics for the second quarter of 2018 increases by 14.92 percent compared to those issued in the same period in 2017 based on the approved building permits. Residential construction posted a 21.90 percent increase from 210 to 164 projects while non-residential posted a decrease of 22.62 percent from 168 to 130. Addition increased by 10 percent while 19 additions to existing structures were recorded this quarter.

The Retail Price Survey (RPS) conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority has generated a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 121.3 as of May 2019 in South Cotabato, using 2012 as the base year. This figure is 0.5 index points higher than the 120.8 CPI recorded in April 2019 and 5.8 index points higher than the CPI recorded in May 2018. This implies that a basket of goods and services commonly purchased by a household in South Cotabato that cost Php 100.00 in 2012, now costs 121.3 in May 2019.
