The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII kicked-off its 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) Field Enumeration for Households and Barangays on 04 September 2023 and is targeted to end on 25 October 2023. The 2022 CAF with reference period of January 01, 2022 to December 31, 2022, is the seventh in the series of decennial agricultural census and sixth in the decennial census of fisheries in the country since 1903.

The 2022 CAF will gather data on the structural characteristics of agricultural and fisheries sectors, provide insights into various crop farming, livestock, poultry, culturing of worms and insects, and fishing operations, and collect information on the available facilities and services in the barangays. The data will serve as a crucial resource for a wide range of stakeholders, including the public, government, businesses, and research institutions.

The 2022 CAF Household and Barangay enumeration in SOCCSKSARGEN covers a total of 384 sample barangays with a total of 1,430 hired census personnel of which 1,412 are involved in the field enumeration. They were trained on the concepts and administration of questionnaires, field operation guidelines, and the use of android tablets and paper questionnaires in the data collection to ensure quality of data collected.
