Core Regional Indicators (CoRe-Is) - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Board has approved for adoption the Core Regional Indicators (CoRe-Is) through Resolution No. 10, series of 2017. The CoRe-Is is a set of indicators that aims to:
a) monitor the social, economic, political, cultural and environmental developments at the regional level;
b) aid the government in understanding the needs of local communities; and
c) enable both the national and local governments make right policies, decisions and actions for development planning and policy formulation.
The CoRe-Is will be used to develop the quarterly Regional Development Index (RDI) to complement the annual GRDP and will be monitored more frequently than the GRDP. The first release of the CoRe-Is and RDI will cover the years 2010-2016.
