In preparation for the implementation of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Sarangani conducted the 2nd Level training at Family Country Hotel, General Santos City, on 17 to 22 June.
The 2nd level training was attended by selected regular staff and COSWs from PSA Sarangani, and 25 hired Census Area Supervisors (CAS), who trained for the 3rd level training in their respective city or municipality assignment. The 6-day training aims to ensure that uniform understanding of the POPCEN-CBMS concepts, operational definitions and procedures will be transferred and instilled to the hired field personal before the actual enumeration.
The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS is a nationwide undertaking that is primarily designed to update the inventory of the population of the entire Philippines while ensuring the updating of social registries of both national government agencies and local government units (LGUs).
The next level of training was attended by the team supervisors and enumerators of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, which was set on 24-26 June and 9-11 July for General Santos City and 1-6 July for Sarangani Province.
