Sarangani
The total production of the different commodity groups, namely, fruit crops, vegetables and root crops, and non-food industrial and commercial crops in Sarangani Province decreased by 3.0 percent in 2024 compared to its production in 2023. The decline was attributed to the decreased production of fruits (-3.7%) and Non-food Industrial and Commercial Crops (-3.0%).

Total external trade up by 28.9 percent
The SOCCSKSARGEN Region's external trade in products in June 2024 increased by 28.9 percent at US$219.340 million from US$170.140 million in June 2023 (Table 1).

Trade balance increased by 168.6 percent 
Balance of trade in goods (BoT-G) is the difference between the value of exports and imports. The BoT-G amounted to US$65.547 million in June 2024, increasing by 168.6 percent from US$24.404 million recorded in June 2023 (Table 1).

The overall inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in Sarangani Province further declined to 4.1 percent in April 2025 from a 2.6 percent annual decrease in March 2025. In April 2024, inflation rate in the province was higher at 6.9 percent.

The overall inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in General Santos City posted a decline at 3.2 percent in April 2025 from an annual decrease at 1.7 percent in March 2025. In April 2024, the city’s inflation rate was higher at 4.3 percent.

Export value went up by 30.5 percent to US$156.512 million in May 2024 from US$119.975 million in May 2023. The volume of exports summed up to 129.561 million kilograms in May 2024 from 107.515 million kilograms the previous year. The value of imports increased by 95.7 percent to US$88.305 million in May 2024 from US$45.118 million in May 2023. Imports volume were up to 204.145 million kilograms in May 2024 from 153.384 million kilograms in May 2023.
