Pursuant to Republic Act 11055 series of 2018 otherwise known as the Philippine Identification System Act, the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA RSSO) XII informs the public that the Digital National ID shall likewise be accepted as sufficient proof of identity and age, subject to proper authentication.
The PSA, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), has a proactive approach to accelerate our transition to the digital economy. The Digital National ID can be requested through the website https://national-id.gov.ph and eventually be stored in the mobile device of the person. Also this is stored in the e-Government Philippines (eGovPH) mobile application. The Digital National ID can be verify through https://everify.gov.ph/check.
Comparable to the PhilID and other digital versions of the National ID, the Digital National ID has no expiration and shall be honored and accepted in all government and private transactions. It can only be access by those PhilSys registered.
The Digital National ID has the same functionality and validity as the physical card and shall be honored and accepted in all transactions requiring proof of identity and age as specified in Section 13 of R.A. No. 11055 consistent with Executive Order No. 162, series of 2022.
