The City CBMS Coordinating Board (CCCB) convening was held at the CMO-ICCAD Conference Room, Kasfala Hall, City Hall Compound, General Santos City on January 11, 2024 at 1pm. Honorable Lorelie G. Pacquiao, City Mayor of General Santos City, represented by Engr. Bernadeth F. Francisco, EnP, the City Government Department Head II of City Planning and Development Office, presided and called the meeting to order declaring quorum, with 16 out of 24 member agencies including the City Mayor’s Office, Philippine Statistics Authority, City Planning and Development Office, Engineering Office, Environment and Natural Resources Office, Human Resource and Management Office, Public Employment Service office, Public Information Office, Agriculture Office, Civil Registry Office, Public Order and Safety Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Department of Education, Sangguniang Bayan/Panlungsod, City Population Management Office, and City Housing and Land Management Office.

Ismael B. Ramos, Jr., Chief Statistical Specialist of Philippine Statistics Authority – Sarangani (PSA-Sarangani) presented the Objectives, Scope and Coverage of the 2024 CBMS, Legal Bases, Data Privacy and Confidentiality of Information and presentation of the Roles and Responsibilities of the Members of the CCBs (per CBMS Council Resolutions). Meanwhile, Carla Marylou D. Fusilero, Senior Statistical Specialist of PSA-Sarangani, discussed the possible assistance of the members of the CCBs for the CBMS operations and presented the 2024 CBMS Timetable of Activities. Statistical Specialist II Mark Jiel D. Aninag and Information System Analyst 1 Kimberly S. Dohina served as the secretariat during the PCCB.

Two motions were moved by Nur Juanday, PESO Gensan, for adoption through resolutions and seconded by Judith C. Janiola of CPMO.

The conduct of the 2024 CBMS for Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) for General Santos City will be LGU funded with technical assistance from the PSA. CBMS aims to provide city and barangay-level data that enables them to identify specific areas of improvement and implement targeted interventions accordingly.
