Koronadal City, South Cotabato – The Philippine Statistics Authority XII conducted the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz held on 08 November 2024 at Mapa Hall, PSA RSSO XII Office. Twenty schools in SOCCSKSARGEN Region participated in the said event.

          Mr. Kian C. Adlong of Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) emerged as the champion in this year’s 28th PSQ, securing the top spot with his exceptional performance. Ms. Hannah Joy N. Francisco of Sultan Kudarat State University claimed first runner-up, while Ms. Kris Loren T. Panilagao from Notre Dame of Marbel University finished as second runner-up.

          In his short speech, Mr. Adlong stated, “It doesn’t matter how much effort or hard work we put, even though we see it meaningless but it did help change a part of you.”

          Regional Director Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon said that the PSQ is a bridge that connects us, a forum that inspires intellectual curiosity and a stage where young talents can shine. He stated that may this day be filled with inspiration, knowledge and camaraderie and leave this hall with renewed commitment of fostering a culture of learning, critical thinking, and statistical literacy in the region.
