Hon. Victor James B. Yap Sr., the Municipal Mayor of Glan, Sarangani Province presided the Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board Convening (MCCB) for the 2024 CBMS Synchronous Implementation. MCCB Glan was conducted last December 15, 2023 at the Youth Development Office and Teen Center, Municipal Hall Compound, Poblacion, Glan, Sarangani Province. Mayor Yap Sr. presided the MCCB but it was delegated to Merlita Jomuad of MLGOO. The meeting was called to order declaring quorum with 19 out of 24 member agencies including Municipal Mayor or Designated Representative, Philippine Statistics Authority, Municipal Planning and Development Office, Engineering Office, Environment and Natural Resources Office, Human Resource and Management Office, Public Employment Service office, Public Information Office, Agriculture Office, Budget Office, Civil Registry Office, Health Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Tourism Office, Local Economic Investment and Promotions Office, Cooperative Development Office, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, Department of Education and Sangguniang Bayan.

Supervising Statistical Specialist of PSA Sarangani, Marifi P. De Asis, presented the Objectives, Scope and Coverage of the 2024 CBMS, Legal Bases, Data Privacy and Confidentiality of Information. Moreover, Senior Statistical Specialist Carla Mary Lou D. Fusilero, discussed the Roles and Responsibilities of the Members of the CCBs (per CBMS Council Resolutions), possible assistance of the members of the CCBs for the CBMS operations and the 2024 CBMS Timetable of Activities. Statistical Specialist II Mark Jiel D. Aninag and Information System Analyst 1 Kimberly S. Dohina served as the secretariat during the PCCB.

The Municipality of Glan offered free notarization of contracts to enumerators and will provide free emergency assistance for animal bites and any other health assistance. Senior Statistical Specialist Carla Marylou D. Fusilero of PSA Sarangani solicited motions and all of the four (4) motions were moved by Eric Pagaran, MPDC, for adoption through resolutions and seconded by Nemesia R. Gavica of MSWDO.
The conduct of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in 1st to 6th income class cities and municipalities was funded by the PSA. CBMS aims to provide city, municipality and barangay-level data that enables them to identify specific areas of improvement and implement targeted interventions accordingly.
