The Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board Convening in Maitum, Sarangani Province was held at the Municipal Hall, Maitum, Sarangani Province on January 10, 2024. Hon. Alexander Bryan B. Reganit, Municipal Mayor of Maitum, Sarangani Province was represented by the Municipal Administrator Ruben R. Balanag. He presided the MCCB and called the meeting to order declaring quorum with 15 out of 20 member agencies including Municipal Mayor’s Office, Philippine Statistics Authority, Municipal Planning and Development Office, Environment and Natural Resources Office, Human Resource and Management Office, Public Employment Service office, Public Information Office, Agriculture Office, Budget Office, Civil Registry Office, Health Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, Department of Education and Sangguniang Bayan.

Chief Statistical Specialist Ismael B. Ramos, Jr. presented the Objectives, Scope and Coverage of the 2024 CBMS, Legal Bases, Data Privacy and Confidentiality of Information and presentation of the Roles and Responsibilities of the Members of the CCBs (per CBMS Council Resolutions). Moreover, Senior Statistical Specialist of PSA-Sarangani, Carla Marylou D. Fusilero, discussed the possible assistance of the members of the CCBs for the CBMS operations and presented the 2024 CBMS Timetable of Activities. Statistical Specialist II Mark Jiel D. Aninag and Information System Analyst 1 Kimberly S. Dohina served as the secretariat during the MCCB Maitum.

The Municipal Administrator of Maitum, Ruben Balanag offered to air the CBMS in their own radio station. All of the solicited motions were moved by Nannette R. Nacional, MENRO,
for adoption through resolutions and seconded by Danilyn G. De Guzman, MSWDO.

The conduct of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in 1st to 6th income class cities and municipalities was funded by the PSA. CBMS aims to provide city, municipality and barangay-level data that enables them to identify specific areas of improvement and implement targeted interventions accordingly.
