05 April 2021 – SOCCSKSARGEN Region. The Philippine Statistics Authority XII extended the PhilSys Step 1 Registration in its Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) to cover more registrants. The assisted Step 1 Registration is extended for 23 more mandays from 05 to 30 April 2021, not only in Region 12 but also in all provinces and cities/municipalities in the Philippines.

The Step 1 Registration involved the collection of registrant’s demographic information and setting of appointment for Step 2 Registration which will start on May 2021. As of 31 March 2021, PSA SOCCSKSARGEN Region records 913,218 registrants or 131.30% of target individuals.

The extension of PhilSys Step 1 Registration covers: 1) Registrants in areas without internet connectivity; and 2) Registrants belonging to low-income families who are residing in highly urbanized cities with internet connectivity in the entire area. Step 1 Registration will strictly observe the implementation of health and safety measures. Data collectors shall continue observe physical distancing and wearing of protective equipment in conducting house-to-house visit and collecting of demographic data of household members.
