The Provincial CBMS Coordinating Board (PCCB) Sarangani convened for the first time last January 26, 2024 at JLC Building, Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, Alabel, Sarangani Province. The PCCB was the last convening (9 of 9) conducted in Sarangani Province and General Santos City by PSA Sarangani and PLGU. CBMS in the 7 municipalities of Sarangani Province is funded by the PSA. A total of 406 CBMS personnel will be hired for the 2024 CBMS.

Hon. Rogelio D. Pacquiao, Provincial Governor of Sarangani Province was represented by Atty. Ryan Jay R. Ramos, the Provincial Administrator. He presided the PCCB and called the meeting to order declaring a quorum with 18 out of 25 member agencies including the Provincial government, Philippine Statistics Authority, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Social Welfare and Development Office, Engineering Office, Environment and Natural Resources Office, Human Resource and Management Office, Public Employment Service office, Agriculture Office, Budget Office, Health Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Tourism Office, Local Economic Investment and Promotions Office, Cooperative Development Office, Philippine National Police, Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Academe-MSU Gensan.

PSA Sarangani headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Ismael B. Ramos Jr., presented the Objectives, Scope and Coverage of the 2024 CBMS, Legal Bases, Data Privacy and Confidentiality of Information. Supervising Statistical Specialist, Marifi P. De Asis, discussed the Roles and Responsibilities of the Members of the CCBs (per CBMS Council Resolutions). Moreover, Senior Statistical Specialist Carla Mary Lou D. Fusilero enumerated the possible assistance of the members of the CCBs for the CBMS operations and presented the 2024 CBMS Timetable of Activities. Statistical Specialist II Mark Jiel D. Aninag and Information System Analyst 1 Kimberly S. Dohina served as the secretariat during the PCCB.

The conduct of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in 1st to 6th income class cities and municipalities was funded by the PSA. CBMS aims to provide city, municipality and barangay-level data that enables them to identify specific areas of improvement and implement targeted interventions accordingly.
