The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Cotabato Province successfully conducted a two-day National ID registration activity in the Municipality of Banisilan, Cotabato on June 26–27, 2025. This activity was initiated in response to a request from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Banisilan, Cotabato, to address the growing number of unregistered senior citizens in the area who have yet to be enrolled in the National ID System.
On the first day of registration, a total of 144 individuals were registered, followed by 206 on the second day—resulting in an overall total of 350 successfully registered residents. The activity catered not only to senior citizens but also to children below five years old, ensuring inclusive access to the National ID, especially for priority groups and those with limited mobility or access to registration centers.
Registration Officer II Junasa conducted an information dissemination session aimed at increasing public awareness and understanding of the National ID system. She explained the significance of having a National ID and how it streamlines access to government and private sector services by serving as a single, valid proof of identity. She also explained that all formats of the National ID are equally valid and accepted in both government transactions and private institutions.
