The PSA-Cotabato Provincial Office demonstrated an unwavering commitment and unparalleled diligence in pursuing the goal of registering 1,322,306 individuals for the PhilSys Step-2 registration in 2024. As of December 31, 2024, the office achieved 97.84% of its target, successfully enrolling 1,293,717 registrants under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). This accomplishment highlights the team's dedication to fostering inclusivity and accessibility through the national identification system.
In response to the implementation guidelines provided by the Central Office, the PSA-Cotabato Province executed comprehensive strategies to ensure the seamless execution of the PhilSys registration. These strategies include the deployment of PhilSys on Wheels to bring services closer to communities, mobile registration for increased accessibility, and institutional registration in remote barangays and ancestral domains. The team further enhanced outreach efforts by participating in public events such as job fairs, local celebrations, and caravans, extending registration opportunities to diverse populations.
A pivotal element of the initiative was the implementation of registration strategies, such as house-to-house registration, which ensured that even the most underserved and hard-to-reach individuals were included. Moreover, the expansion of registration services, the “Rehistro Bulilit,” to include children below five years old played a significant role in addressing the remaining unregistered population. This inclusive approach not only boosted overall registration numbers but also aligned with the government’s broader goal of providing every Filipino with a secure and verifiable national identification.
Through strategic planning, tireless dedication, and collaboration across sectors, the PSA-Cotabato Provincial Office continues to set a benchmark for effective service delivery and transformative governance.
