The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Cotabato Province actively participated in the Returnee Comprehensive Aftercare Program (RCAP) organized by the 602nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army. The event took place on October 3, 2024, at Camp Robert Edward M. Lucero, Carmen, Cotabato, with 40 returnees from various municipalities of Cotabato Province in attendance.

During the program, the PSA led an informative discussion on the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), raising awareness about the importance of having a National ID and highlighting its key benefits. The presentation emphasized how the National ID can simplify access to essential government services and improve overall social inclusion, particularly for those seeking to reintegrate into society.

In addition, the PSA introduced the newly launched Digital National ID, which offers a convenient, secure, and innovative means of identity verification. Returnees were encouraged to explore this digital option, which facilitates easier access to government services online. Attendees were directed to the official website, https://national-id.gov.ph.

To further support the returnees, the PSA also provided civil registry services on-site, assisting participants in processing requests for vital civil registry documents. These included applications for certified security paper (SECPA) copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates. Ensuring that returnees have access to these essential documents is crucial for their reintegration into society, as these papers are often required for legal, financial, and personal transactions.

As part of its ongoing mission to promote the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the PSA offered on site National ID registration services to those who had not yet registered. This initiative provided returnees with immediate access to the registration process, ensuring that they could take the necessary steps toward obtaining their National ID. By the end of the event, a total of 16 individuals had successfully completed their National ID registration, contributing to the government’s broader goal of fostering inclusive access to public services for all citizens.
