                 The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in collaboration with the municipal government of President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat has successfully conducted the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data turnover ceremony. The ceremonial undertaking took place at Municipal Gymnasium of President Quirino on the 27th of February 2024. This action shows the PSA's firm dedication in delivering useful and dependable data, thereby facilitating evidence-based policymaking and development planning. 

                 It was attended by distinguished guests, including the Regional Director of PSA XII, Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, CESO V, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Sultan Kudarat, Ms. Herlita G. Caraan, representatives from DILG Sultan Kudarat, officials and staff of LGU President Quirino, PSA Central Office, and PSA XII.

                 Atty. Manulon delivered his message emphasizing RA 11315  also known as CBMS Act, specifically Section 2. He said that CBMS is one of the methods of serving the community. The process extends from the training of trainers until the data turnover ceremony. PSA acknowledges the challenges faced by LGUs with limited resources, particularly those classified as 5th and 6th class municipality. Leaders play a crucial role in serving the citizens.     Multi-dimensional poverty encompasses not only poverty in terms of food but also poverty in terms of education and other factors. One of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is to eradicate poverty by 2030.

                 He added that by 2030, we will have additional strides in addressing the issue of poverty. CBMS data serves as evidence-based information using the prescribed instruments of the PSA and other relevant agencies to improve data quality. The conduct of the CBMS in President Quirino is a manifestation of the leadership's serious commitment to pursue development in the municipality to address the multi-dimensional poverty as the CBMS data can show various current needs of the people. RD Manulon congratulated the team for the successful conduct of the 2022 CBMS in LGU President Quirino.

                 During the ceremony, the PSA turned over the LGU of President Quirino the results of the CBMS that was conducted in 2022. Moreover, municipality of President Quirino reported a 98.9 percent response rate which implies a high participation rate among household respondents, indicating extensive participation among household respondents.

                 The PSA officials and representatives from LGU expressed their hope that the CBMS data would aid the LGU in reaching sustainable development goals and alleviating poverty in the community. The ceremony ended with a pledge from both the LGU and PSA to collaborate further in enhancing the well-being of President Quirino residents.
