In preparation for the conduct of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) this September 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority XII convened the Sub-Committee for the 2022 CAF. The Sub-Committee is under the Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) XII which also serves as the Regional Census Coordinating Board (RCCB) of SOCCSKSARGEN Region. 

The SubCom was chaired by the PSA XII through its Regional Director, Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon. It was vice-chaired by the Department of Agriculture XII through its Regional Director. Present during the meeting were the members of the SubCom from Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) XII, National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) XII, Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) XII, Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) XII, and Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC) XII.

SOCD Chief Ms. Ma. Eileen A. Berdeprado discussed the introduction and rationale, the PSA Board Resolution No. 14-2022 entitled Endorsing to the Office of the President the Issuance of an Executive Order Declaring September 2023 as National Agriculture and Fisheries Census Month and PSA Board Resolution No. 3-2023 entitled Approving the Terms of Reference of the Provincial, City, and Municipal Census Coordinating Boards on the conduct of the 2022 CAF.

Engr. Belinda R. Penuela, Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) of PSA Cotabato presented the background and activities/timelines of the field operation of the 2022 CAF, CSS Herlita G. Caraan of Sultan Kudarat explained further PSA Board Resolution No. 4-2023 entitled Enjoining All Government Agencies to Provide Assistance in the Conduct of the 2022 CAF. 

Four (4) resolutions were passed during the meeting. RCCB-CAF Sub-Committee Vice-Chairperson, DA XII Regional Director, Dr. Sailila E. Abdula as represented by Ms. Cecilia Parcon, pledged their  support and assistance to ensure the successful conduct of the 2022 CAF in the region.
