PSA-SK Sets to Release the Results of the 2021-2023 

Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) of Sultan Kudarat Province

 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office is set to release the results of the 2021-2023 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) of Sultan Kudarat Province compilation through a dissemination forum on December 03, 2024.

The PPA aims to present a comprehensive picture of the sub-regional economies by providing a more appropriate measure and assessment of provinces’ and Highly Urbanized Cities’ (HUCs) economic performance through the measure of Gross Domestic Product or GDP.

In response to the clamor for a more granular statistics, the PPA will serve as a tool in strengthening the planning and decision-making of the policymakers and other stakeholders in crafting more informed economic policies in the sub-regional level.

Prior to this, the PSA-SK conducted various activities to carry out the PPA compilation. These activities include series of data collection, data validation and coordination activities to local government units, government line agencies, Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and the private sector in the province. Moreover, the Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC)-Sultan Kudarat and Tacurong City Statistics Committee have passed resolutions enjoining all government agencies and the private sector in Sultan Kudarat Province to support the 2021-2023 PPA data collection.

This 2024 marks the third time for the PSA-Sultan Kudarat to release the aforementioned data set following its first compilation in the province in 2022.

Additionally, by 2025, the PPA will be institutionalized in all provinces and HUCs of the 17 regions in the country.

The PSA-Sultan Kudarat extends its sincerest appreciation to all data providers, both the public and private sector, for their ardent support in this year’s PPA compilation.
