The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is mandated to lead the 2024 Census on Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) throughout the Philippines. This is pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 11315 and RA 10625, which support evidence-based policymaking and the efficient implementation of government programs at the local levels. One of the activities in the conduct of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS is the Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) focusing 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Form 8 operation.
Geotagging is an essential component in the conduct of CBMS operations, allowing the capture and collection of relevant and timely information about households/housing units, service facilities, and government projects collected at the local level.
The geotagging of SFGP aims to (a) generate baseline data for the conduct of succeeding CBMS Geotagging of SFGP and Listing of Building Constructions (LoBC); (b) to generate shapefiles of geotagged service facilities and government projects ย for ย use ย of ย national ย and ย local ย government ย units ย and ย other stakeholders; and (c) to estimate the proportion of building constructions without approved building permits to the total constructions in terms of number and value by excluding government horizontal projects
The Provincial Office (PO) South Cotabato hired eleven (11) Map Data Collectors (MDC), three (3) Team Supervisors (TS), three (3) Map Data Processors (MDP), and two (2) Map Data Reviewers (MDR). All are expected to work closely for the one-month data collection, geotagging of SFGP, and processing of maps.
The actual field work started on March 03, 2025 and expected to be completed in April 12, 2025.
