The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – South Cotabato Provincial Office, in collaboration with the 11 Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) and their dedicated personnel, launched the 35th Civil Registration Month with a vibrant and spirited kick-off ceremony.

Setting the tone for a month-long advocacy, the celebration began on February 4, 2025, with a motorcade stretching from Koronadal City to the scenic town of Lake Sebu. The event aimed to raise awareness on the importance of timely, accurate, and reliable civil registration, ensuring that every birth, marriage, and death is properly documented.

This year’s theme, “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System,” underscores the government’s commitment to modernizing civil registration—making it more efficient, accessible, and responsive to the needs of every Filipino.
Beyond the motorcade, the PSA and LCROs are set to roll out a series of activities throughout February 2025, including mobile registration services, information drives, and various contests. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap for underserved communities and emphasize the crucial role of civil registration in securing legal identity and access to government services.
With the continued push for a more inclusive and digital-ready civil registration system, PSA-South Cotabato urges citizens to take part in the observance. As the month unfolds, the province stands united in its mission to strengthen the civil registration system—one that is not only resilient and agile but truly future-ready.
