South Cotabato marked the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) with a dynamic and meaningful celebration on February 4, 2025, kicking off with a motorcade from Koronadal City to Lake Sebu. The event brought together the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) South Cotabato and 11 Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) in a show of unity and commitment to strengthening the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system.
Upon arrival, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Lake Sebu Municipal Mayor Hon. Remie M. Unggol and MCR Garcia Alam to express gratitude for the LGU's hospitality and their support in hosting this year’s opening program.
This year’s theme, “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit CRVS,” underscores the importance of adaptability, technological advancement, and inclusivity in civil registration. It challenges stakeholders to modernize processes, embrace innovation, and ensure that every citizen has access to secure and efficient registration services.

Fusilero presented key insights on the latest vital statistics.
The event also showcased the dedication and expertise of civil registration officers through the CRVS Quiz Bee. A battle of wits among 11 LCRO representatives, where after three rounds of intense competition, the top three LCROs that emerged winners were:

3rd Place: Vianza Jonn A. Biare

The winners in the Booth in Wheels competition showcased their creativity in decorating their respective vehicles used during the motorcade were:

Third Place: LCRO Tboli
Infomercial videos featuring CRVS initiatives from various LCROs were presented, offering valuable insights into their efforts in streamlining civil registration services across the province.


In her closing message, OIC-PSO Ma. Eileen A. Berdeprado expressed her appreciation for the active participation and unwavering support of the LCROs in making the 35th CRM opening a success. She also commended LGU Lake Sebu for their generosity in hosting this year’s celebration.
“As we move forward, let us continue working together to ensure a stronger, more inclusive, and technology-driven CRVS system that benefits every Filipino. Your dedication and passion are the driving forces behind an efficient and future-ready civil registration system,” she emphasized.
