PSA-Sultan Kudarat Hosts Motorcade and Launching Event in 
Celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month
 

The 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) formally kicked off with a vibrant motorcade and a grand launching ceremony on October 7, 2024. This year’s theme, “Advancing Data and Statistics through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation,” highlights digital transformation, aiming to ensure that statistical data is not only accurate and timely but also readily accessible, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and fostering national development.

The event began with a motorcade from Tacurong City Ground heading to Sultan Kudarat Provincial Cultural and Sports Complex, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat for the grand launching. This activity is a collaborative effort between and among local and national agencies with the Provincial Government Office taking the lead headed by Governor Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu, and joined by Provincial Assessor’s Office, Department of Trade and Industry, and the Provincial Statistics Committee aimed at engaging the community and highlighting the significance of statistical data in policy-making and governance. Representatives from various Local Civil Registry Offices, Local Government Units, academe and private sector also joined the motorcade.

The recognition of the PSA-Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office (PSA-SK) as Top 1 PSA Provincial Office nationwide and the Top 5 Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) in Sultan Kudarat as national top performers in the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) in the country in 2022 and 2023, highlighted the ceremony. The BRAP aims to ensure that every child is registered at birth, providing them with a legal identity and access to essential services. The PSA-SK and top-performing LCROs namely Palimbang, Lebak, Lambayong, Kalamansig and Columbio, were awarded with plaque of recognition by the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat for their outstanding efforts in increasing birth registration rates and improving service delivery in particular in Sultan Kudarat Province.

During the ceremony, the Provincial Assessor Office, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Registrar of Deeds presented their achievements and offices/agency updates.

On behalf of Gov. Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu, Provincial Administrator Jimmy C. Andang, in his message, highlighted the significant milestones and accomplishments of the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat Province, particularly noting the recognition received from the Cisco Soniasis Program and the successful implementation of the National Voluntary Blood Services Program.

The 35th NSM celebration continued throughout October packed with various activities, including digital contests, 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz-Provincial Elimination, infographics exhibitions, aimed at promoting the importance of statistics in national development.
