The Philippine Statistics Authority is currently conducting the Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) 3rd Quarter from July 1-12, 2025. The CES is a household-based survey that gathers consumers' perceptions of their family income, financial situation, and the country’s overall economic condition.
The CES is a collaborative effort between the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), conducted quarterly. The PSA is responsible for data collection, while the BSP handles the tabulation and analysis of the results.
The CES aims to gauge consumer sentiment in the following key areas:
(1) household financial condition, (2) family income, and (3) the country’s economic situation.
Generally, the CES is designed to:
1. Provide timely and regular insights into consumers’ perceptions of their current and future financial situation, as well as the overall economic condition of the country;
2. Generate forward-looking indicators of economic activity based on consumers’ expectations for the current quarter, the next quarter, and the upcoming 12 months;
3. Measure consumer confidence regarding income and spending, along with their views on key economic indicators closely monitored by the BSP—such as inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates;
4. Assess the saving behavior and financial preparedness of households;
5. Evaluate the debt status of household heads and their spouses or partners; and
6. Identify household members’ ownership of financial accounts and assess their use of digital payment methods.
The Philippine Statistics Authority-Sultan Kudarat encourages the selected sample households of Sultan Kudarat for their support and cooperation on this undertaking by providing truthful and accurate information to the Statistical Researchers who will visit their houses to conduct an actual interview.
