The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII recently concluded its 2019 Midyear Performance Review and General Assembly last July 24 – 26, 2019 at Elai Resort, Hotel and Recreation Center, Kidapawan City aboard the Mt. Apo Aircraft Function Hall. The activity aims to assess the accomplishments of PSA XII for the first semester of 2019, identify and provide solutions for setbacks, adjust goals for the second semester as a result of the review of OPCR, evaluate and give feedback to the overall performance of PSA XII. The activity also aims to serve as a venue for exchange of
ideas, promote camaraderie and strengthen bond among employees of PSA XII.
Regional Director of PSA XII, Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, CESO V emphasized in his message the need to be more creative and innovative in the face of budget constraints. He urged the employees to strive to accomplish more but spend less. He encouraged both regional and provincial offices to work together as one and to support one another. He also emphasized the importance of managing stress at work to maintain good health.
This was followed by the presentations on the 2019 Work Program versus 2019 First Semester Accomplishments with Issues/Challenges and Actions. After which, an open forum ensued.
Subsequently, the two (2) divisions and four (4) provincial offices presented their respective Workload Analyses to assess manpower viz workload for the second semester of 2019. On the second day, the following concerns were tackled: (1) Updated Risk Registry, (2) QMS Matters including Relevant Manual of Styles, (3) Results of the 2018 PSA Awards and Evaluation Review of 2019 PSA Awards Manual, (4) 2019 Best Practices and Innovations, (5) 2019 Project Procurement and Management Plan, and (6) Budget Utilization Rate.
On the 3rd day, a General Assembly was held. Participants were informed of the issues/concerns and agreements reached during the two-day Midyear Performance Review. Based on these, the Division and Provincial Heads presented their respective Way Forward and Updated Strategies for the second semester of 2019. RD Manulon then made his final instructions and next steps. He said, employees of PSA are duty bound to embrace with all their hearts and minds the commitment to accomplish all the activities that are in the work program for 2019.
Afterwards, he discussed Republic Act 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act for the information of all PSA XII staff. After the 3-day technical sessions, team building activities for all PSA XII were conducted to increase collaboration, encourage productivity and motivation, improve communication and networking thereby makes the PSA XII employees work together as a team.
