The PSA XII supports the observance of the 117th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service. The annual celebration is spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission. This year’s theme is “Tugon sa Hamon ng Pagbabago: Malasakit ng Lingkod Bayani” to remind us of manifesting “malasakit” in public service. The annual observance is pursuant to Public Law No. 5 “An Act for the Establishment

and Maintenance of Our Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands” issued on September 19, 1900.

A Zumba Marathon kicked-off the series of activities for the regional observance of the month-long celebration of Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) in SOCCSKARGEN Region. The activity was held at CCSPC Gymnasium on September 04, 2017. It was attended by more than 200 government and nongovernment employees from Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Local Government of Cotabato, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Education (DepEd) XII and Division Office, Metro Cotabato Water District (MCWD), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Department of Agriculture (DA).

The Civil Service Commision (CSC) Chairperson, Alicia dela Rosa-Bala, delivered a message through audio visual presentation (AVP). She announced the various activities for the 117th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) and stressed the role of the public servants dubbed as Lingkod Bayani. In behalf of the CSC XII Director Grace R. Belgado-Saqueton, Atty. Hannah D. Examen, Atty. VI

conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for supporting and making the activity a success.

Participants whose activity number 113 and 130 were declared 2017 Zumba King and Queen. They received a cash prize of P2, 500.00 each.
