The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Cotabato Province actively participated in the 1st Quarter Meeting and Information Session of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Region XII. The event took place on March 26, 2025, at the Function Hall, Brgy. Poblacion, Libungan, Cotabato, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss crucial updates and initiatives related to the program.

As part of the session, Registration Officer II Jenny Pearl C. Junasa conducted an in-depth orientation for all Municipal Links assigned to their respective areas. The primary objective of this orientation was to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to verify/validate submitted documents effectively. The discussion focused on the security features of PSA-issued Civil Registry Documents and Certifications, ensuring that the participants can properly verify their authenticity and prevent the use of fraudulent records.

Ms. Junasa also provided a detailed explanation of the three forms of the National ID to enhance the participants' understanding of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). She highlighted the following: National ID Card – The physical identification card issued to registered individuals, serving as a primary proof of identity, National ID in Paper Form – A printed version of the National ID that is equally valid and can be used for official transactions. Digital National ID – The newly launched digital version accessible through online platforms, offering a more convenient and secure means of identity verification.

Through this initiative, PSA Cotabato Province reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening public awareness and accessibility to the National ID system. By empowering frontline implementers of the 4Ps program with accurate information, the agency ensures that more Filipinos can benefit from a reliable, secure, and widely accepted identification system, ultimately facilitating better access to government services and social protection programs.
