The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Sarangani Provincial Statistical Office and the Municipal Planning and Development Office – Malungon represented the Municipal CBMS Coordination Board (MCCB) headed by the Chairperson, Municipal Mayor, Hon. Atty. Maria Theresa D. Constantino, by taking a significant step towards enhancing community development through a massive information campaign throughout the Municipality for the upcoming 2024 CBMS Synchronous Implementation.
An orientation and info-dissemination session on Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) was conducted last February 28, 2024 at 1002nd Infantry (BAGWIS) Brigade Headquarters, Camp Agaab, Sitio Pulatana, Brgy Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province which was attended by Brigadier General Patricio Ruben P. Amata, Commander of the 1002nd Brigade, alongside Staff Officers MAJ Richard F. Caspillo (INF) PA, MAJ Shamon G. Pamittan (INF) PA, CPT Felinger B. Catao (INF) PA, CPT Bernold S. Paroginog (OS) PA, 1LT Amadeo John C. Bruan (ART) PA, Cpl Francis A. Fernandez (INF) PA, Cpl Mario S. Osmaña Jr. (INF) PA, Sgt Mark Anthony B. De Leon (MI) PA, Sgt Ral G. Sumatra (INF) PA, Cpl Albert M. Nonggod (INF) PA and Cpl Gladys Eve s. Serdoncillo (FS) PA.
Senior Statistical Specialist Carla Mary Lou D. Fusilero and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Richard E. Saranillo served as resource persons while Statistical Specialist II Mark Jiel D. Aninag and PDO I Ahasuerus Keen A. Pacheco who assisted in the technical discussions of mapping and other areas of jurisdiction under Brigadier General Amata.
The session’s objectives was to equip the participants with the necessary information and knowledge to actively participate in Community-Based Monitoring System.
