         The Philippine Statistics Authority, spearheaded by the Social Sector Statistics Service–Income and Expenditure Statistics Division (SSSS-IESD), conducted the Learning Sessions and Data Evaluation Workshops for the 2023 FIES and 2024 CES from 22 April to 03 May 2024 to ensure the quality of Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) and Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) data, and to further capacitate the Field Offices on the analysis and use of the CES and FIES data. The workshop for the Mindanao-Cluster 1 was hosted by the PSA-RSSO 12.

                 Assistant National Statistician Adrian A. Cerezo of SSSS-IESD emphasized the importance of the activity as he encouraged the participants to practice data analysis and be knowledgeable in the methodologies. He added that data validation is a crucial step in producing poverty estimates as basis for policy formulation.

                 The workshop was attended by technical specialists from PSA-IESD-PHDSD and focal persons from PSA-Davao, BARMM and SOCCSKSARGEN.

                The PSA is focusing on producing economically visible and justifiable poverty estimates that is consistent and realistic.

                The learning workshop activity was held at Mapa Hall, PSA-RSSO 12, Koronadal City.
