The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII is currently conducting the Field Research for the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) through its Provincial Offices. This activity will run for 10 days anytime from November 2-29, 2022 depending on the concerned Provincial Office. The selected technical staff of the Provincial Statistics Offices (PSOs) will gather administrative-based data on updated List of Operators, Farms, Beneficiaries, Area of Agricultural Lands Converted to Non-Agriculture Use and List of Establishments/Associations/Institutions/Cooperatives with Agriculture and Fisheries Operations in both sample and non-sample barangays which will be collected from LGUs and concerned government agencies/private organizations as inputs in the preparation of the 2022 CAF workload analysis.

The data gathered will serve as inputs for the assumptions that will be used to estimate the number of agricultural/fishing households and number of crops/livestock/poultry/aquaculture/fishing operators and for the non-household (e.g., establishments, institutions, associations, cooperatives) that were engaged in the growing of crops/livestock/poultry/aquaculture/fishing for the 2022 CAF reference period. It also seeks to gather information regarding possible factors that may resulted to the decrease/increase in agricultural lands, number of operators and other CAF indicators; and improvement of census coverage, facilitate data collection, and assess sampling design.

The PSA looks forward for the support of all LGUs and concerned government agencies/private organizations to provide us the necessary information needed for this activity.
