The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII enjoins the public to cooperate and support the conduct of the January 2023 round Labor Force Survey (LFS).

The authority and mandate of the PSA to conduct the said survey emanated from Article 5, Rule 4 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA 10625, otherwise known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, stipulating that the Philippine Statistics Authority is primarily responsible for all national censuses and surveys, sectoral statistics, consolidation of selected administrative recording systems and compilation of national accounts.

The LFS is a nationwide survey of households, conducted on a monthly basis, to gather data on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. It also measures the country’s current labor market and is used, among others, to calculate national and provincial employment and unemployment rates.

For SOCCSKSARGEN Region, a total of 48 personnel are involved in the operation to cover a total workload of 2,127 households.

The enumeration period is expected to be completed in 20 days which started on January 9 and will end in January 31, 2023 including Saturdays.
All stakeholders especially sample households are enjoined to support the January 2023 Labor Force Survey.
