YEAR-ON-YEAR INFLATION RATES

Headline inflation rate or the year-on-year change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket in the province of Sultan Kudarat increased to 6.1 percent in December 2022 from 5.7 percent in November of the same year. This is the highest inflation rate reported for 2022 and the highest since January 2019. In December of 2021, inflation was lower at 3.0 percent. Inflation rate for all items from January to December 2022 averaged at 5.0 percent.
