Total external trade up
The external trade in goods in SOCCSKSARGEN Region in April 2022 totaled to US$284.225 million, up by 77.0 percent from US$160.557 million in April 2021 (Table 1).

Trade balance decrease
Balance of trade in goods (BoT-G) is the difference between the value of exports and imports. The BoT-G amounted to US$85.176 million in April 2022, more than thrice the US$23.655 million recorded in April 2021 (Table 1).

Merchandise Trade
Exports increased to US$184.700 million in April 2022 more than twice the US$92.106 million in April 2021. Total exports volume went up to 141.262 million kilograms in April 2022 from 74.578 million kilograms in April 2021. Import value rose by 45.4 percent to US$99.524 million in April 2022 from US$68.451 million in April 2021. Import volume increased to 176.690 million kilograms in April 2022 from 147.909 million kilograms the in April last year.
