Total external trade up
The total external trade in goods in SOCCSKSARGEN Region in March 2022 totaled to US$230.267 million, up by 10.4 percent from US$208.578 million in March 2021 (Table 1).

Trade balance decrease
Balance of trade in goods (BoT-G) is the difference between the value of exports and imports. The BoT-G amounted to US$31.990 million in March 2022, it decreased by 42.0 percent from US$55.748 million that was recorded in March 2021 (Table 1).

Merchandise Trade
Export value went down by 0.6 percent to US$131.128 million in March 2022 from US$131.863 million in March 2021. Export volume decreased to 107.632 million kilograms in March 2022 from 112.829 million kilograms the previous month. The value of imports increased by 29.2 percent to US$99.139 million in March 2022, up from US$76.715 million in March 2021. In March 2022, total imports volume went up to 216.735 million kilograms, about 0.5 percent higher than the 215.600 million kilograms in the same month last year.
