The Philippine Statistics Authority-Fraud Management Division (PSA-FMD) together with the Philippine Statistics Authority-Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office (PSA-SK) successfully concluded a three-day on-site fact-gathering operation from June 3-5, 2025, in connection with an incident report concerning an alleged fraudulent civil registry document in Sultan Kudarat Province. The document in question was reportedly used in an attempt to register within the National ID System.
The intensive fact-gathering aimed to meticulously collect evidence and verify information surrounding the reported incident. The investigation is a testament to the PSA's unwavering commitment in upholding the integrity and security of both the civil registry and the National Identification System (NID).
The alleged fraudulent civil registry document was flagged during the registration process for the National ID System in PSA Sultan Kudarat, highlighting the robust verification mechanisms in place to detect and prevent such illicit activities. The PSA reiterates its commitment in ensuring that only legitimate documents are processed for civil registration and National ID registration and issuance.
