The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII enjoins the public to cooperate and support the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH). It will be simultaneously conducted in all barangays nationwide starting September 1, 2020. The enumeration period will last for 25 days until September 29, 2020, including Saturdays and holidays. Respondents are requested to provide truthful information to census items asked by census enumerators.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 647 signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino on September 20, 1990, declaring October of every year as National Statistics Month (NSM), the PSS will spearhead the month-long annual celebration. The NSM aims to: (a) promote, enhance, and instill awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of the society; and (b) elicit the cooperation and support of the general public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country.

The CES is a household-based survey on the consumers’ assessment of their family income, financial situation, and the economic condition of the country. It is administered on a sample basis at the household level drawn through a stratified multi-stage random sampling with a total sample of about 5,000 households. The CES is a complementary survey to the Business Expectations Survey (BES) of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII will spearhead the observance of the Civil Registration Month (CRM) in SOCCSKSARGEN Region. Now on its 31st year, this month-long observance bears the theme “Strengthening Civil Registration and Vital Statistics’ Digital Information: The Ways to Manage the New Normal”.

Starting February 2021, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will conduct the monthly Labor Force Survey (LFS) in between the quarterly rounds of the LFS pursuant to PSA Board Resolution No. 08, Series of 2020 – Approving to Conduct of the Monthly LFS. The February 2021 Labor Force Survey (LFS) will be undertaken from 08 to 24 February 2021.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII recorded a total of 519,098 registrants for Step 1 registration in Region XII or about 74.63% of the target individuals belonging to low income households as of 02 March 2021.

05 April 2021 – SOCCSKSARGEN Region. The Philippine Statistics Authority XII extended the PhilSys Step 1 Registration in its Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) to cover more registrants. The assisted Step 1 Registration is extended for 23 more mandays from 05 to 30 April 2021, not only in Region 12 but also in all provinces and cities/municipalities in the Philippines.
