Sarangani
The Provincial CBMS Coordinating Board (PCCB) Sarangani convened for the first time last January 26, 2024 at JLC Building, Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, Alabel, Sarangani Province. The PCCB was the last convening (9 of 9) conducted in Sarangani Province and General Santos City by PSA Sarangani and PLGU. CBMS in the 7 municipalities of Sarangani Province is funded by the PSA. A total of 406 CBMS personnel will be hired for the 2024 CBMS.

Sultan Kudarat
To facilitate smooth and efficient conduct of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) rollout in Sultan Kudarat Province, PSA-Sultan Kudarat led the convening of Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board (MCCB) of LGU-Kalamansig on January 10, 2024 at the Multi-Purpose Building, Municipal Hall Compound, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is set to conduct the EA Delineation for the Development of 2024 Enumeration Area Reference File (EARF) for the 2024 Community-based Monitoring System and Census of Population (2024 CBMS-POPCEN) field operations. Among the key preparatory tasks for this is the creation of accurate and reliable Enumeration Area (EA) maps and the subsequent final Enumeration Area Reference File (EARF). These resources will play a vital role in facilitating the effective planning and execution of census field enumeration activities.

Sarangani
The headline inflation in Sarangani decreased further to 4.7 percent in January 2024 from 5.1 percent in December 2023. This is higher than the national and regional levels at 2.8 percent and 4.1 percent, respectively. Inflation rate in January 2023 was higher at 8.2 percent. Average inflation for the first month of the year was observed at 4.7 percent.

Sarangani
The headline inflation or the annual rate of change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket in General Santos City decreased to 2.9 percent in January 2024 from last month’s inflation at 3.9 percent. This was lower than the regional level at 4.1 percent and higher than the national level at 2.8 percent. This was also lower by 4 percentage points from a year ago of the same month at 6.9 percent.

Sultan Kudarat
The headline inflation rate or the year-on-year change in the prices of goods and services commonly purchased by people in the province of Sultan Kudarat continued to slow down to 3.8 percent in January 2024 from 6.3 percent in December 2023. In January 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 7.3 percent.
South Cotabato
Inflation rate of South Cotabato’s bottom 30% income households decreased to 6.0 percent in January 2024 from 6.9 percent recorded in December 2023. It was lower by 1.4 percentage points from the same month last year at 7.4 percent and 0.9 percentage points lower from December 2023 at 6.9 percent.
