The inflation or the annual rate of change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket for the bottom 30% income households or the low-income group in General Santos City eased to 1.0 percent inflation in December 2024 from last month’s inflation at 1.4 percent.
Sultan Kudarat
The overall inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in the province of Sultan Kudarat slow down to 0.7 percent in December 2024, compared to 0.8 percent reported in November 2024. In December 2023 inflation was higher at 5.4 percent.
Sultan Kudarat
The inflation rate or the year-on-year change on the prices of goods and services commonly purchased by people in the province of Sultan Kudarat increase to 1.1 percent in December 2024 compared to 0.9 percent recorded in November 2024. This brings the provincial average inflation from January to December 2024 at 3.9 percent.
Sarangani
The headline inflation in Sarangani Province dropped to 0.5 percent in November 2024 from 1.2 percent in October 2024. This was lower than both the regional and national levels at 1.7 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively. In November 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 5.4 percent. The provincial average inflation rate for the last eleven (11) months of the year registered at 3.7 percent. (Table A and Figure 1)

The headline inflation or the annual rate of change in the prices of goods and services in the market basket in General Santos City retained its level at 1.2 percent in November 2024 from the previous month October 2024. It was lower than the national level at 2.5 percent and the regional level at 1.7 percent. The city level average inflation from January to November 2024 stood at 2.9 percent. In November 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 4.1 percent.

The export value decreased by 3.0 percent to US$105.729 million in September 2023 from US$109.035 million in September 2022. The volume of exports totaled up to 98.151 million kilograms in September 2023 from 90.010 million kilograms the previous year. The value of imports decreased by 61.5 percent to US$26.447 million in September 2023 from US$68.627 million in September 2022. Imports volume was up to 86.954 million kilograms in September 2023 from 103.197 million kilograms in September 2022.

The export value decreased by 17.1 percent to US$110.177 million in October 2023 from US$132.914 million in October 2022. The volume of exports summed up to 103.848 million kilograms in October 2023 from 122.478 million kilograms the previous year. The value of imports went up by 45.2 percent to US$104.047 million in October 2023 from US$71.674 million in October 2022. Imports volume was totaled to 203.734 million kilograms in October 2023 from 204.751 million kilograms in October 2022.
