The inflation or the annual rate of change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket for the bottom 30% income households or the low-income group in General Santos City declined to 2.8 percent in September 2024 from last month’s inflation at 4.0 percent.
Sultan Kudarat
The headline inflation rate or the year-on-year change in the prices of goods and services commonly purchased by people in the province of Sultan Kudarat slowed down to 2.6 percent in September 2024 compared to 4.2 percent recorded in August 2024. This brings the provincial average inflation from January to September 2024 at 4.6 percent.
Sarangani
The headline inflation or the annual rate of change in the prices of goods and services in the market basket in General Santos City slowed down to 2.2 percent in September 2024 from 3.6 percent in August 2024. This was higher than the national level at 1.9 percent and equal to the regional level at 2.2 percent. In September 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 4.1 percent. The city level average inflation from January to September 2024 stood at 3.3 percent.

The headline inflation in Sarangani decreased to 1.5 percent in September 2024 from 3.2 percent in August 2024. This was lower than the regional and national levels at 2.2 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively. In September 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 6.0 percent. From January to September 2024, the provincial average inflation was 4.4 percent.

Regional Office
The Philippine Statistics Authority XII will kick off the month-long celebration with a motorcade on 02 October 2024, in Koronadal City. The assembly begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Koronadal City Hall Grounds. The motorcade will begin at 8:00 a.m., traveling through Koronadal City's major thoroughfares and ending at the PSA RSSO XII Office for the 35th NSM Opening Ceremonies.

This national government initiative aims to bring essential services directly to Filipinos across the country.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office has launched the "Rehistro Bulilit" campaign to intensify the registration of children aged 1 to 4 years old for the National ID System. The campaign, which kicked off in Tacurong City on August 23 and 29, 2024, with events held in Barangays Rajah Muda and New Passi, aims to make the National ID accessible to all Filipinos, regardless of age. PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, emphasized the inclusivity of the National ID system, stating, "The registration of children ages 1-4 years old in the National ID is part of our commitment in making the National ID inclusive."

Through the issuance of the PSA Board Memorandum Circular No. 2024-12, signed by NEDA Director General Arsenio M. Balisacan, both government and the private sector, from the national down to the provincial level, are enjoined to actively support and participate in the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) Celebration. The annual observance of the NSM is pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 647 signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino on September 20, 1990, Declaring the Month of October of Every Year as the National Statistics Month.
