Asian Development Bank Ave., Quezon City.

In October 2022, the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) will celebrate the 33rd National Statistics Month (NSM) carrying the theme, “Boosting the Country’s Recovery with Informed Decisions, Better Policies” signifying the importance of informed decisions and better policies in pump-priming the country’s socioeconomic recovery from the impact of the pandemic.

Headline inflation rate or the annual rate of change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket for all income households in SOCCSKSARGEN Region moved at a faster pace of 7.0% in September 2022 from a two-month sustained inflation of 6.6% the previous months. This is 0.1 percentage point higher than the national inflation of 6.9% for the current month under review. Inflation for the first nine months of the year averaged at 5.2%, almost mirroring the national average of 5.1%.

Headline inflation rate or the annual rate of change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket for all income households in SOCCSKSARGEN Region rose to 7.0% in November 2022 from 6.6% the previous month. This is 1.0 percentage point lower than the national inflation of 8.0% for the current month under review. Inflation for the first nine months of the year averaged at 5.5%, mirroring the national average.
