The headline inflation rate or the year-on-year change in the prices of goods and services commonly purchased by people in the province of Sultan Kudarat slowed down to 0.2 percent in February 2025 compared to 1.3 percent recorded in January of the same year. This brings the provincial average inflation from January to February 2025 at 0.8 percent. In February 2024, the inflation rate was higher at 4.9 percent.

The Philippine Statistics Authority-Sultan Kudarat (PSA-SK), in collaboration with Tacurong National High School (TNHS), marked the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration with a successful information dissemination on PSA’s Statistical Products and Civil Registration and National ID Services. The event held at TNHS Gymnasium in New Isabela, Tacurong City from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 18 February 2025 and was attended by one hundred forty (140) Grade 12 students. This initiative effectively raised awareness about the significance of accurate civil registration and vital statistics in the school community.

In line with the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) and as part of a broader initiative across the province to promote civil registration and support family values, the Local Government of Senator Ninoy Aquino hosted a “Kasalang Bayan” on 14 February 2025 at 9:00 a.m. The significant event took place at Barangay Kulaman Gymnasium participated by 25 couples in total.

The virtual event gathered forty-five (45) participants from various line agencies to discuss the latest inflation trends and their economic implications.

This initiative aimed to review and deepen employees’ understanding about CPI and other derived indicators and enhance the skills of PSA-SK personnel in analyzing the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data including manipulation of tables and worksheets.
