Sultan Kudarat
The Philippine Statistics Authority-Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office (PSA-SK) conducted successfully the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) Opening Ceremony in Sultan Kudarat Province. This is in coordination with the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) in relation to the annual conduct of CRM. This year’s celebration bears the theme “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System”.

Sultan Kudarat
The Philippine Statistics Authority Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office (PSA-SK) successfully conducted a National ID registration drive at the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Jail (SKPJ) on 30 – 31 January 2025. This initiative aims to provide Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) with access to a valid proof of identity, a crucial step towards social and financial inclusion, even within the correctional facility.

The headline inflation rate or the year-on-year change in the prices of goods and services commonly purchased by people in the province of Sultan Kudarat increased to 1.3 percent in January 2025 compared to 1.1 percent recorded in December 2024. In January 2024, the inflation rate was higher at 3.8 percent.
Sarangani
The annual rate of change on the prices of goods and services in the market basket for the bottom 30% income households or the low-income group in Sarangani Province further declined to 1.1 percent in January 2025 from last month’s inflation at -0.9 percent. This was lower than the regional and national levels at 0.8 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively. In January 2024, the inflation rate was posted at 6.1 percent.

The inflation or overall inflation on the prices of goods and services in the market basket for the bottom 30% income households or the low-income group in General Santos City eased to 0.8 percent inflation in January 2025 from last month’s inflation of 1.1 percent. This was equal to the regional level and lower than the national level at 2.4 percent. In January 2024, the inflation rate was posted at 4.0 percent.

The headline inflation or overall inflation in the prices of goods and services in the market basket in General Santos City remained at 1.1 percent in January 2025, the same annual growth rate recorded in December 2024. This was lower than the national level at 2.9 percent and equal to the regional level at 1.1 percent. The city-level average inflation for the first month of the year stood at 1.1 percent. In January 2024, the inflation rate was higher at 2.9 percent.

The headline inflation in Sarangani Province further recorded a deflation of -0.4 percent in January 2025 from -0.3 percent in December 2024. This was lower than both the regional and national levels at 1.1 percent and 2.9 percent, respectively. In January 2024, the inflation rate was higher at 4.7 percent.

The two-day training covered a wide range of topics, including: (1) Registration of Children below 5 years old; (2) Issuance of National ID in Paper; (3) Generation of Digital National ID; and (4) Updating of Demographic Information.

As of December 31, 2024, Philippine Statistics Authority-Sultan Kudarat (PSA-SK) had successfully registered a total of 736,498 individuals in Sultan Kudarat Province or 86.24% of the 2020 CPH total population. This significant milestone in the National ID registration underscores the PSA's commitment in ensuring all residents have access to a valid and reliable proof of identity.
