SOCCSKSARGEN’s Headline Inflation Sustained at 3.3% in November 2020

SOCCSKSARGEN Region’s Inflation Rate for the Bottom 30% Income Household fell by 3.5% in October 2020 from 3.6% in September of the same year. Among all commodity groups, only Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages has recorded an increase in inflation at 1.2% from 0.3% in September 2020. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and Transport has sustained a double digit record of 15.5% and 16.8%, respectively.

The inflation rate for the Bottom 30% Income Households in SOCCSKSARGEN slightly rose to 3.6% in November 2020 from 3.5% in October 2020. Only the commodity groups of Clothing and Footwear (from 1.8% to 1.9%), Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels (from 3.1% to 3.8%), Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Maintenance of the House (from 1.0% to 1.1%), and Health (from 3.9% to 4.3) recorded an increases in inflation among the commodity groups.

Export sales of SOCCSKSARGEN Region in June 2020 was valued at US$121,356,346, an increase of 48.7 percent from US$81,634,583 recorded in June 2019. Total volume of export goods reached 105,133,870.91 kilograms during the month under review from 100,623,915.43 kilograms a year ago.

SOCCSKSARGEN Region’s export income in July 2020 went down by 31.2 percent at US$70,293,351 from US$102,105,334 in July 2019. The total volume of export commodities weighed 48,219,698 kilograms during the month under review from 93,164,127 kilograms in the same month of the previous year.

Export sales of SOCCSKSARGEN Region in August 2020 was valued at US$101,782,600, an increase of 24.1 percent from US$82,027,291 recorded in August 2019. Total volume of export goods reached 75,163,602 kilograms during the month under review from 72,427,543 kilograms a year ago.

SOCCSKSARGEN Region’s export income in September 2020 went up by 18.3 percent at US$85,513,501 from US$72,255,428 in September 2019. The total volume of export commodities weighed 61,129,352 kilograms during the month under review from 51,662,186 kilograms recorded in the same month of the previous year.
