SOCCSKSARGEN Region’s export income amounting to US$86,156,258.00 rose by 14.5 percent in January 2021 from US$75,241,979.00 in the same month in 2020. The total volume of export commodities increased to 79,239,133 kilograms in 2021 from 65,242,617 kilograms the January 2020.

Palay Production Survey (PPS) is conducted simultaneously in all provinces of the country every 1st to 10th day of April, July, October and January of every year. The reference period is the last quarter preceding April, July, October and January. The main objective of the PPS is to generate estimates and forecasts for palay area, production and yield. The data in PPS are gathered from sample farm households through personal interview.

Sultan Kudarat’s inflation rate remained at 5.3 percent in January 2019 from December 2018. This is about 1.0 percentage point higher than the rate posted in January last year at 4.3 percent. Purchasing power of peso in the province remained the same at Php0.81. (Table 1)

Sultan Kudarat’s inflation rate decelerated at 3.9 percent in July 2019 from 4.9 in June 2019. This is about 0.5 percentage point lower than the rate posted in July last year at 4.4 percent. Purchasing power of peso in the province remained the same at Php0.80.

The annual headline inflation rate or the year-on-year change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Sultan Kudarat Province accelerated at 2.1 percent in October 2019 from 2.0 percent in September 2019. This is about 5.0 percentage points lower than the rate posted in October last year at 7.1 percent. Purchasing power of peso in the province declined at Php 0.79.

Sultan Kudarat
Sultan Kudarat Province had a total registered deaths of 3,237 in 2017 or 6.55 percent lower than in 2016. Among the city/municipalities, the City of Tacurong had the highest registered deaths with 649 which constituted 20.05 percent of the total registered deaths in the province in 2017. It was followed by the municipalities of Isulan with registered deaths of 563 (17.39%) and Lambayong with 361 (11.15%). The municipality of Lutayan had the least registered deaths with 79 or 2.44 percent of the total registered deaths in the province in 2017. (Table 1)
